Our services include force-free methods using science based learning theories which strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. PRIVATE SESSIONS
Perfect for people that have crazy schedules and/or crazy dogs! Our flexible private dog training sessions can easily fit into your busy lifestyle.
Beginning with our initial consultation, we come to your home and discuss all your concerns, our training methods, assess how your dog is interacting with it's environment and the relationship it has with the family members. We then come up with a plan specific to your needs. Included in the private training sessions is a pdf. outline related to your dog's behaviour(s) plus unlimited email support. From puppy training to behavioural issues, we will teach you positive reinforcement dog training techniques to get the results you want. Then all you have to worry about is your crazy schedule not your well-behaved dog!

NEW SERVICES
*Day Training
We do the heavy lifting for you! We come to your home 3 times per week (puppies = 4 times per week) and train your dog while you are at work or going about your other daily tasks. Then at the end of the week we transfer what your dog has learned to you.

NEW PUPPY!
Congratulations on welcoming a new puppy into your home! A puppy can be a lot of fun and rewarding, yet challenging as well. We offer puppy training to set you and your puppy up for success, giving you a great foundation that will aid in the prevention of future behaviour problems. We will give you tips and techniques from house training to basic obedience. We will also teach you about dog body language, how dogs learn, and how to handle biting and chewing so you will have a better understanding of your puppy and how best to train him/her. We offer 3 types of services to help you with your new puppy so you can choose what fits best; Private training, Day Training or Board & Train.

Since many dogs adopted from shelters have training needs, we will help you welcome your new dog into your home and set you both up for success. All our training tips and techniques are based on positive reinforcement which will not only help with the behaviour issues but will also strengthen the bond you can have with your new canine companion.

AGGRESSION ISSUES
Is your dog aggressive? Aggression can be based on fear, excitement, frustration, or resource control. We offer a behavioural evaluation to get to the root of the problem that is causing the aggressive behaviour and then create individualized training sessions based on the information gathered.

CHEWING & OTHER BAD HABITS
Chewing is a natural dog behaviour. Dogs need to chew, just not on your new leather shoes! Some dogs chew to relieve stress, some chew to get rid of excess energy. We can give you dog training tips and chew options for your canine companion.
DIFFICULTY WALKING ON A LEASH
We want you to enjoy walking your dog! Whether your dog is pulling on their leash, refusing to walk, or just creating a stressful walk, we have solutions to help. We do not use prong collars, choke collars, or leash corrections. These adversive techniques and equipment create fear and distrust, confusion, pain, and injuries. They also, do not teach your dog what we actually want them to do. Our positive training techniques teach your dog that walking nicely with a loose leash gets them what they want, which in turn, gets us what we want; a stress-free walk!
In addition, we offer, for purchase, handcrafted, braided, leather leashes and "Dexter's No Pull Harness" which are not sold in any pet store in Guelph. This harness is great for those strong pullers as it works with the dogs balance to discourage pulling. It's also recommended for small dogs, relieving pressure on their neck from collars. Ask us how Dexter's No Pull Harness can work for your dog.
